Clergy of all denominations are invited to attend this time of silence and listening for God’s Spirit. He served as a pastor in the Virginia Conference for 13 years and was an Active Duty Army Chaplain for over 20. He is an Associate with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and holds a Certificate from their Spiritual Guidance Program. He has extensive experience as a spiritual director and contemplative retreat leader. David has a DMin in Spiritual Formation and Biblical Studies from Wesley. He is the author of Spiritual Leadership in the Small Membership Church, Abingdon Press, 2005. He is the Founder of Kindred Project and Co-leader of the Clergy Spirit Care Program. Denise Guinta Joy Crawford Joy is Director of the Spiritual Life Center of Virginia, LLC. She also serves as Director of Youth and Adult Formation at Welborne UMC. She is an Associate with the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation and holds a Certificate from their Spiritual Guidance Program. Joy has extensive experience as a spiritual director and retreat leader in areas including contemplative prayer, leadership, group spiritual direction, community discernment, and spiritual practices. Joy is Co-leader of the Clergy Spirit Care Program and a Facilitator of Kindred Project. She has M.A.C.E. and Th.M. degrees from Union-PSCE. Denise Guinta is an Episcopal priest. She specializes in Interim Ministry and Congregational Consulting. She holds certification’s from The Center for Congregational Health, Interim Ministry Network and The Clergy Leader Institute. She is a graduate of Shalem Institute’s Contemplative Clergy Spiritual Life and Leadership program and her interests are Group/ Clergy Spiritual Direction and leading contemplative retreats. She has extensive experience in team building and creating collaborative models of leadership among clergy and congregations. She is currently Interim Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Roanoke. Bill Klein Bill Klein is a Presbyterian Church (USA) pastor, who is in his 20th year serving the Lexington Presbyterian Church in Lexington, VA. He and his wife, Deb, provide weekly Lectio Divina for the church and community. He also provides a monthly service of prayer for wholeness and healing. Bill is an associate member of the Iona Community. Dawn is certified through the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Leading Contemplative Prayer Groups and Retreats. She leads retreats focused on contemplative living, parenting, and discernment in community. She has led retreats for various church congregations, including United Methodist, Presbyterian, and Episcopal. Dawn is Adjunct Faculty with the Shalem Institute (co-leading Personal Spiritual Deepening Program and Group Spiritual Direction Workshops). She is Coleader of the Clergy Spirit Care Program and a Facilitator of Kindred Project. She is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
