Revision Guide
During exam week you will sit an exam paper for listening, reading, writing and
grammar in the morning slot. You will do a speaking exam in the afternoon slot.
You must bring your reading book and revision materials to both of these
sessions.
You should revise the following topics:
 colours
 numbers 0-20
 some classroom objects
 Countries
 Nationalities
 Numbers 21-100
 Months
 Illness/pain (mal di…)
 Classroom objects
 Classroom activities
 School subjects
 Nouns/adjectives for appearance
 Nouns/adjectives for personality
 Places in a school
You should revise the following grammar
areas:
 alphabet
 Nouns m/f singular and plural
 Adjectival agreement – singular & plural
 Personal subject pronouns (e.g. io, tu…)
 Indefinite articles (un, una, un’, uno)
 C'è / ci sono
 Demonstrative (this, that, these, those)
adjectives/pronouns
 Possessive adjectives (e.g. my) and
pronouns (e.g. mine)
 Present tense - regular -are
 Present tense - regular -ere
 Present tense - regular -ire
 Present tense - regular - gare / -care
 Present tense - regular -ire 'isc'
 Present tense - essere
 Present tense - avere
 Present tense - stare
 Present tense - fare
For the speaking exam you should prepare a presentation on someone you
know. The best pieces will include opinions and two tenses. Once you have
done the presentation you will be asked up to three questions about yourself
(for example your age, appearance, what you study).
