YG visits Arizona to pay respect to Zakiyyah Elzy
One of three teenagers injured in car crash
(Phoenix, Ariz.) – Power 98.3, KKFR-FM received word about a terrible car accident involving three
teenage girls from Sierra Linda High School on Friday, April 24th. All three girls are hospitalized, one of
which is on life support (Zakiyyah Elzy, 17 years old). Power 98.3, along with friends and family of
Zakiyyah took to social networking with the hash tag “#KIAGANG” to help raise funds for expenses and to
get the attention of Zakiyyah Elzy’s favorite music artist, YG, a well known hip-hop artist.
When Power 98.3 reached out to YG’s management, their response was immediate. We’re delighted to
confirm that YG arrives today Wednesday April 29, in Phoenix, Arizona at 1:00PM to visit the family and
crash site (63rd avenue and Lower Buckeye) of Zakiyyah Elzy.
“Power 98.3 is here to serve the community and our hope is to make a positive difference during this
difficult time”, stated KKFR’s Program Director Mikey Fuentes.
