2014/15 PROGRAM Basketball 4A Hoop Classic March 19-21, 2015 – Jasper Place, Edmonton Competing at an Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association high school provincial championship is the culmination of years of practice, commitment and dedication on the part of student athletes and coaches. They lost a heart breaker to Bishop Mcnally High School in the City Semi Final in front of a home crowd of 300 plus. This is the second year in a row that the school has qualified for the Provincial Championship Tournament. The team is lead by its Head Coach Darcy Weston who has helped guide the SR basketball team for the last few years. The Barons have posted a 20 -14 record and along the way captured the 11th Annual Sun Spartan Invitational Tournament Championship in Brandon, Manitoba. in other tournaments, Lloydminster Comprehensive has placed second once and captured two Bronze medal placings. The Barons have a good mix of veteran experience and exuberant youth on this year’s team. LCHS primarily plays a weekend tournament schedule travelling throughout Alberta and into Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
