Emergency Action Plan : ASAA RUGBY PROVINCIALS
June 5 & 6 2015
ATHLETIC THERAPY ONSITE:
Activa Sports Therapy will be providing Athletic Therapy services.
If an urgent injury situation arises notify a staff member of Activa Sports Therapy.
They will provide immediate onsite care for emergencies and acute injuries as a first priority.
Taping and other services will also be provided if they are not assisting in other urgent care.
Athletes are responsible for providing their own tape however there will be a
limited amount of tape available for purchase.

Emergency vehicle access: Entrance to the facility is on the south side on Ellerslie Rd SW
CHARGE PERSON: Athletic Therapist on site
CHARGE person will approach the injured player, and will signal for assistance when necessary
and determine if EMS is required.
CALL PERSON: Team coach or Athletic Therapist on site
(Event Athletic Therapist will carry a cellular phone)
CALL person must call 9-1-1 and notify parking attendants and assist parking attendant to
marshal the ambulance to the incident.
CONTROL PERSON: Game referee or coach
CONTROL person must control spectators or players from interfering with care and assist the
CALL person with emergency vehicle access to incident.
Emergency Equipment Available at Medical tent:
Ice/ice bags, First aid and Athletic Therapy supplies, Splints and Slings.
