The minor in Psychology requires 18 credits of Psychology coursework as shown below. At least 6 credits of the total
18 credits must be at the 3000 level. -- For course availability, pre-requisites, and descriptions, please check on
Banner Self-Service.
The Psychology course work must be spread across the three content areas as shown below
1. Research Methods/Critical Thinking Skills
(3 Credits)
•
A grade of C or better within two attempts for the General Psychology course is required to declare the
minor.
•
A grade of C or better in the Natural Science and lab is also required to declare the minor.
•
General Psychology Lab is not required for the minor.
•
The Natural Science and the lab will be included in the Psychology GPA.

Research Assistantship courses have a limited number of openings. If interested, you must apply directly to
the Professor, and if selected, you will be issued a permit to register.

You may only use 3 credits of PSYC 3806 towards the Psychology minor. Additional credits may be used
towards meeting the minimum of 120 credits needed for graduation.
