Congratulations, you are now ready to begin the online portion of the registration
process for your student. Remember, if you are registering a NEW STUDENT to GCPS,
you still will need to visit the school to complete your child’s registration.
There are five sections in the ParentVue online registration process. Each section has a tab on the left
side of the screen:
• Family
• Parent/Guardian
• Emergency
• Students
• Review/Submit
You will be guided through each section, and you will be asked to provide information required for your
child. Each section must be completed in the order it is presented during the registration process. It is
not possible to skip a section or complete a section out of order. You must enter information into the
required fields before you will be allowed to continue. Once you have completed a section, a green
check mark will appear.
The registration process is self-guided and will inform you of any missing or incorrect information. On
the Introduction page is a list of documents you may want to have available for reference.
At any time, you may log off of the program and return at a later time to complete the application.
Data that you entered for your student will
be saved. Click the Continue button.
Enter your name in the Electronic
Signature field.
By typing your name in the field you
confirm that:
• You are the account holder,
• You are authorized to be the enrolling
parent or guardian, and
• Your information is accurate.
Click the Save and Continue button.
In the Family section, you are required to
provide:
 primary home address
 mailing address
 contact information for the
enrolling parent or guardian.
IMPORTANT:
You must separate your Street Name and
Street Type. For example, if you live on
Pleasant Hill Rd, enter Pleasant Hill as the
Street Name and select the street suffix Road in the drop-down Type field.
The application will not accept a street suffix in the Street Name field.
A green check mark appears in the address block when the address is verified and accepted.
Please note the completion bar at the top of the page. This bar indicates the amount of progress you
have made within a section. Click the Save and Continue button to continue to the Parent/Guardian
section.
In the Parent/Guardian section, you are required
to provide contact information and select a
gender for the enrolling parent/guardian listed on
this screen.
Click the Edit button to open the next page and
enter the enrolling Parent/Guardian information.
Click the Save and Continue button to continue to
the Parent/Guardian section.

If you have been granted permission
and/or approval to attend a school
other than your home school, you
must still select the school listed,
then click the Save and Continue
button to go to the next page.
*There is another screen that will
allow you to identify the school you
plan to attend, granted you have
supporting documentation from that
school.
This is an example of an Emergency Contacts
page that appears during the student
registration process. It will display the names
and numbers of emergency contacts for your
child. You may change the contact order by
selecting a contact name and dragging the
contact name in the order it should be used in
the event of an emergency.
A check mark appears in the status block
when the student’s online registration is
completed.
To add another student, click the Add
Student button and begin this entire process
again.
Click the Save and Continue button to
continue to the Review/Submit section.
