PARENT VIDEO SCRIPT:
This script is basically the same as the Parent Instructional Video. This is just another format we want to provide in order to help you understand and navigate through the Online Registration process. Welcome to the Gwinnett County Public Schools’ ParentVue Online Registration tutorial. In this tutorial, you will learn how to set up your account access and how to use this application to begin the 2015-2016 school year registration process for your student. Your school will post the Online Registration Link on their website for you to access. To create a ParentVue account,

Please Note: Only one parent needs to complete the online registration to avoid duplication of records. At this point in the Parent Account Creation process, you will receive an e-mail stating that your online account has been created successfully. The e-mail will contain a link that returns you to the Complete Account Creation page so that you can complete the account creation process and begin the registration process. 3 Check your e-mail account to find a Welcome E-mail. The email will be from the ParentVue Registration. The ParentVue e-mail will contain a link that you will click to take you to the Complete Account Creation page to begin the registration process. To create a new password, you will enter a password of your choice in the Password field and then again in Confirm Password field. The password must be a minimum of 6 characters in length and can consist of numbers and letters, but not special symbols found on the keyboard such as an exclamation point, the at symbol, the number sign, the dollar sign, the percent symbol, brackets, greater than and less than symbols. The password is case-sensitive. Please keep a copy of your password. If you forget your user ID or password, the login information can be e-mailed to you from the “Forget my password” link on the login page. Click the Save and Continue button. 4 Congratulations, you are now ready to begin the online portion of the registration process for your student. Remember, if you are registering a NEW STUDENT to GCPS, you still will need to visit the school to complete your child’s registration. There are five sections in the ParentVue online registration process. Each section has a tab on the left side of the screen: • Family • Parent/Guardian • Emergency • Students • Review/Submit You will be guided through each section, and you will be asked to provide information required for your child. Each section must be completed in the order it is presented during the registration process. It is not possible to skip a section or complete a section out of order. You must enter information into the 5 required fields before you will be allowed to continue. Once you have completed a section, a green check mark will appear. The registration process is self-guided and will inform you of any missing or incorrect information. On the Introduction page is a list of documents you may want to have available for reference. At any time, you may log off of the program and return at a later time to complete the application. Data that you entered for your student will be saved. Click the Continue button. Enter your name in the Electronic Signature field. By typing your name in the field you
confirm that:
• You are the account holder, • You are authorized to be the enrolling parent or guardian, and • Your information is accurate. Click the Save and Continue button. In the Family section, you are required to provide:  primary home address  mailing address  contact information for the enrolling parent or guardian. The application will not accept a street suffix in the Street Name field. A green check mark appears in the address block when the address is verified and accepted. 6 Please note the completion bar at the top of the page. This bar indicates the amount of progress you have made within a section. Click the Save and Continue button to continue to the Parent/Guardian section.
