Meet the reader
Steph, 24,
Hertford
Steph says: ‘I hate my colour at
the moment it’s too dark and
drains my complexion. I really
want to add some warmth and
go for a bronde shade that will
perk me up.’
The consultation
THE RESTYLE BEGINS...
Trishna applies blonde hues to sections of
Steph’s hair using the foil technique. Once
the colour process is finished, she trims off
Steph’s split ends. Then Lauren tackles the
layers. Steph opts for a really smooth blow
dry as the first look.

Trishna Patel suggests adding a: ‘sunkissed quality to the
brunette tone with biscuit blonde shades to lighten up the
whole colour.’ Lauren Owens says: ‘Steph should opt for a trim
and some blunt layers to add thickness to her tresses.’ Steph
agrees with both of them and we get started on the restyle.

Meet the reader
Ashton, 23,
Middlesex
Ashton says: ‘I have naturally
curly hair that is prone to frizz,
so I really need to learn some
tricks and tips on how to keep it
looking soft and smooth. Plus,
the sun has already started to
fade my natural colour, so I want
to go darker for summer.’
The consultation
Vicky Panting says, ‘I think Ashton should opt for a really
glossy rich chocolate shade to give her tresses the
maximum impact. We will use a colour gloss that will help
add shine and lusture back into the hair.’ Ashton and the
rest of the guys agree with this assessment.
THE RESTYLE
BEGINS...
Vicky mixes up the perfect
bitter-chocolate-brown shade
and then applies the gloss
colour all over Ashton’s hair.
Once the colour is washed out,
the ends are trimmed and a soft
side fringe is cut in to the left
side of her hair. Next, the hair is
blow-dried and curled with hot
irons to give it a loose, easy-towear look.

‘My natural blonde is looking dull
and lifeless… I need serious help!’
Meet the reader
Tezia, 26,
LONDON
Tezia says: ‘I have naturally
dark-blonde hair, but it looks a
little bit lack-lusture and I think
it needs a serious colour lift to
take me through the summer
months ahead. I also like the
idea of having a full block fringe
cut in to my hair.’
The consultation
Tom Laslett belives that: ‘Tezia will suit a block fringe and as for
the colour, I think that if we mix it up with a few platinium
blonde panels, along with some warmer caramel blonde
shades, this will refresh Tezia’s colour and bring it bang on
trend for summer’.
Tom first applies the colour with foils. Then,
once it’s been washed out, he cuts in Tezia’s
fringe and trims the length, whilst adding in
a few face framing layers. To finish Tezia gets
a blow-dry followed by some loose curls
created with a big barrel wand. These curls
are then brushed out and her hair is left with
soft movement and volume.
