Website Banner Ad Instructions Advertise Bill Me Later® financing on your site Thank you for your interest in displaying Bill Me Later® banner ads on your website. These ads let your customers know that they can take advantage of 6 months financing on qualifying purchases of $99 or more when they check out with PayPal and choose Bill Me Later.1 There is no added cost to you for this service beyond what you already pay for PayPal payment processing. To take advantage of the 6 months financing offer, your customers simply check out with PayPal and select Bill Me Later as their funding method (subject to credit approval). How to Put Financing Banner Ads on your Website 1 Step 1: Visit http://financing.paypal.com Click the blue “Get started” button. If you have a PayPal account, you can sign in using the same email address and password you would normally use for PayPal. If you’re not using PayPal to accept payments on your website, you’ll need to set up a PayPal account with a qualifying PayPal payment solution that supports Bill Me Later before you can put banner ads on your site. 2 Step 1 Step 2: Read the Operating Rules Read our Operating Rules and select “I Agree and Continue”. You will only need to do this the first time you log in. Step 2 1 Website Banner Ad Instructions 3 Step 3: Select the “Web” option Once you accept the Operating Agreement, you’ll be redirected to the PayPal Ad Builder. Select the “Web” option to choose your website banner ads. Please note that for credit compliance purposes, you shouldn’t use banner ads created for website use in your emails; conversely, you shouldn’t use banner ads created for email use on your website. Bill Me Later takes every precaution to make sure that the banner ads on your site are compliant and meet credit regulatory requirements. Please do not modify or alter the banner images or code to ensure they are compliant. 4 Step 3 Step 4: Select your ad size Select the ad size you would like to use on your website. Place your mouse over the eye icons to view the banner dimensions, and then click on the size that works best for your website. Step 4 5 Step 5: Copy the code If you select a standard banner ad size you will see the code displayed on the next page of the Ad Builder. Highlight the entire tag by clicking the “Select All” button. Next, copy the code, by right clicking on your mouse and choosing the “copy” command or use the keyboard shortcut (control C for PC; command C for Mac). Do not modify any of the code or your banners will not display properly. You will need to go through this process for each banner ad size you would like to use. 2 Step 5 Website Banner Ad Instructions 6 Step 6: Paste the code Open your Website Admin page or web design tool and paste the code within the HTML where you want the banner to appear on your web page. Preview the page to make sure it appears the way you want it, then save the page. Step 6 Repeat this process for each page where you want the banner ad to appear. If you’re using different banner sizes on each page, be sure to use the correct code for the corresponding banner size. 7 NOTE: The highlighted area shows the pasted email tag. This is only sample code; please use the actual code that you copy from the Ad Builder, as the code differs for each merchant.
