Day 1 - Friday, June 26
Nature Play Symposium
Keynote speakers, trade display, 3 presentation streams (Nature Play Spaces,
Healthy Brain Development and Nature Play in your Centre), a hands-on session
implementing Nature Play and panel discussion.
Camps Tour (Optional) Departs Queensland Recreation Centre Gold Coast at 9:00am, visits 3 local campsites,
QCCC Tamborine, PCYC Bornhoffen and CYC Burleigh, and returns around 6:00pm.

Kids Outdoors 2030
Keynote speakers, 3 presentation streams (Management, Facilitation and Education),
the Great Debate and finishing off with a Gala Evening celebration at the Currumbin
Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 3 - Sunday, June 28
Kids Outdoors 2030
Keynote speakers, trade display, 3 presentation streams (Management, Facilitation
and Education), activities to observe or try for yourself and finishing at 5:00pm
with a presentation and closure activity to bring it all together.

Mike Lanza, author
of Playborhood: Turn Your
Norm Hunter is the principal
consultant of Thinkit Through, an
educational consultancy with a
particular focus on leadership,
strategic thinking, mentoring and
writing. He has a special interest
in school culture, believing that it
is the key to a successful school.
Norm was a founding Principal,
of Hillbrook Anglican School, serving for a period
of 21 years. In 2010 Norm was awarded the ACEL
Queensland Excellence in Educational Leadership
Award
Neighborhood Into a Place for
Play, has worked hard to create a
very rich neighborhood play life
for his three boys in Menlo Park,
California. He's also discovered
and written about dozens of
neighborhoods throughout North
America that are doing innovative things to make
a vibrant life for kids. He holds an MA in
Education, and an MBA from Stanford University.
Rachael Sharman
Judith Locke
How to grow a successful human
Dr Rachael Sharman is a lecturer
and researcher in psychology,
specialising in child/adolescent
development. Her research is focused on the optimal and healthy
development of a child’s brain,
and has covered the neuro/
psychological impacts of: dietary
practices of parents and their
children; physical activity;
obesity; autism; attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder; genetic disorders; concussion; and childhood trauma.
The challenge of building resilience
Dr Judith Locke is a clinical
psychologist and former teacher,
who is a Visiting Research Fellow
at the Queensland University of
Technology researching modern
parenting, child and parent wellbeing, and the school environment. As the director of
Confident and Capable, Judith
works with parents in schools teaching them
parenting strategies which will make children
more adept at facing the ups and downs of life.
Ash Nayate

Dr Ash Nayate is a Clinical Neuro
-psychologist, with specialised
expertise in brain-behaviour
functioning. She has almost 15
years of experience working
with children and their families.
Over the years she has realised
that the best gift we can give
ourselves is mental well-being.
With mental illness on the rise, her mission is to
help kids and families become happier, more confident, and emotionally resilient.
