Bike Share Feasibility Study
Quad Cities Public Meeting
Would you like bicycle sharing in
the Quad Cities?
Please join River Action, the Quad Cities Bike Share Planning
Committee and Alta Planning + Design for a community
meeting to explore options and opportunities for a public bike
share system in the Quad Cities. This introductory meeting
will help the planning team incorporate public input into the
study. The potential areas for bike share include Davenport,
Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Riverdale.
Bicycle share can positively impact community health,
safety, and economic prosperity. Bicycle share programs
give residents and visitors the ability to borrow a bicycle for
short trips. Bike sharing programs provide a low-cost, lowcommitment transportation alternative that enables and
encourages multi-modal commutes and recreation. Many
cities are quickly discovering their value and benefits.
This meeting will include:
• Introduction to the concept of bike share
• Benefits bike share can bring to the Quad Cities
• Discussion of various alternative ways bike share can
operate, including equipment and funding options
• Ideas about potential station locations
• Input from the community regarding questions,
opportunities, and concerns
Help us discover how the Quad Cities could take advantage of
this unique asset!
