Direct Communication with Hiring Manager Results in Strong Candidate Pipeline for Merck Situation Merck, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world was in need of identifying Director and Senior-level talent within the Research & Development and Procurement space. The client utilized the Research & Recruiting services of Qualigence International in order to identify pharmaceutical candidates to fill roles in and near the corporate office. Qualigence International was tasked with utilizing its unique Research & Recruiting methodology in order to target, identify, and compose the organizational structure and biographical data of pharmaceutical professionals within designated sectors, as well as take identified candidates through the development stages of the recruiting process for the client. Actions Qualigence International’s Pharmaceutical Research Team obtained a specific target list from the client in order to locate and identify talent within these sectors. The Research team worked diligently to gain a thorough understanding of the niche pharmaceutical groupings and break out the organizational teams from within the designated sectors. Process The Research team utilized a unique phone methodology to obtain that-day accurate information from more than a dozen pharmaceutical companies. This data was compiled into organizational charts and pipeline data segments for the client. The Research team identified talent within specific niche roles, titles, divisions, and areas in order to identify the correct talent for particular roles. 1 Once the information was received and reviewed by the client Hiring Manager, the Recruiting team took the selected candidates through the initial development phases of the hiring process, providing the client with a full data set from which the client could recruit. Identifying the proper niche targets for the client entailed comprehensive discussions and communication with the Hiring Manager in order for the Research team to identify the correct targets. All communication of the project status was corresponded directly to the Hiring Manager, who provided specific project feedback and next steps as well as direction during each update call.
