Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated team player to lead all aspects of our pilot plant operations.
This role has the responsibility for the development, and management of all the manufacturing and
production planning for WikiFoods pilot plant facility working collaboratively with R&D, Engineering,
Sales and Marketing to bring category creating products from bench to production as well as management
of production needs for current retail customers. This role will require a split schedule between the 2
offices, approximately 3 days/2days, respectively.
Responsibilities
US Supply Chain Management
• Manage key supply chain partners including plants and raw material suppliers.
• Provide accurate forecasts for finished goods and raw material.
• Plan monthly finished good production at production facility
to meet sales demand.
• Plan raw material component needs based on seasonal availability.
• Communicate QA procedures with suppliers and 3rd
party manufacturers and provide
recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage all distribution for raw materials and finished goods.
Inventory Management
• Establish and maintain inventory management system to accurately and effectively manage the
control, flow, quantity and quality of inventory.
• Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports regarding the status of finished goods, raw
material, and work in process inventories.
• Manage lead times with suppliers of raw and packaging materials to ensure u
ninterrupted supply of
finished goods.
Production
• Responsible for all aspects of the production scheduling, converting sales projections into an accurate
schedule for the manufacture and delivery of product on time.
• Manage quality programs and ensure compliance to Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and Gluten Free
certifications.

Report monthly shipments, customer complaints, and micro sampling of finished goods to branded
licensee.
Manage the hiring and day to day work of the production staff.
Working with R&D, assist in the identification, procurement and vendor approval of new raw
material suppliers.
Establish and maintain budgets for QA, Manufacturing, and Engineering projects, providing accurate
and timely data regarding COG’s etc.
Responsible for Initial planning and layout of process-flow and physical componentry regarding
pilot/test equipment, having the ability to research and understand unfamiliar technologies to support
this equipment.
Responsible for understanding and providing guidance to mechanical engineering team in building
equipment to comply with FDA (USDA preferred) standards as well as required certification.
Order Processing/Logistics/Distribution
• Responsible for the logistics of shipments, working with partners, suppliers and vendors to ensure
efficient, cost effective and timely deliveries.
• Develop new partnerships for the manufacture of products, equipment, and sub ingredients.
Requirements
• BA/BS degree in related field or commensurate work experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a startup environment preferred.
• Proven success in delivering projects to time and budget requirements.
• Experience in following are key:
o Food or food related equipment, or nutritional product manufacturing.
o Technical understand of complex manufacturing equipment.
o Selection and management of vendors in contract manufacturing.
o Management of logistics, customer service and transportation.
o Program management including drafting project timelines and resource.
o Leadership and decision making skills
Working Conditions
• Requires some travel approximately 25% between corporate office and plant facility.
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment failures, downtime events, and report back to engineering
team for corrective action.
