THE KHLYSTY: The Khlysts or Khlysty (Хлысты in Russian) were a secretive Sexual Christian Sect that is known to have existed from the 1600s and into the 20th and 21st century. They adopted the priesthood concepts of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Christian Holy Trinity and Saints. At the same time, the adopted a form of spiritualism, that probably came from the spiritualist shamans of Siberia, also they added pre-Christian Gods and Goddeses from: Greek Aphrodite: goddess of love, sexuality and beauty Pan: god of sexuality and wildness Bacchus: god of wildness, intoxication, and group sexuality. The Greek Erotes who were: 1 Anteros: god of requited love Eros: god of love and sexual desire Himeros: god of sexual desire Hedylogos: god of sweet talk and flattery. Hymen: god of weddings and wedding songs Pothos: god of sexual longing, yearning and desire Peitho: personification of persuasion and seduction Russian pantheon: Rusalki: nature nymphs; Iarilo: god of masculine passion and sexuality. Domovoy: shapeshifter and one who stirs the air into the scents of sexuality. Rome and also Freemasonry: Lucifer: god of light, the planet Venus, & free-willed sexuality. Their name: 'Khlystyy,is a word of many combinations, that include: Xristy, (= XristosBelievers), Khlyst (= a whip), Chilliasts (= a millennium), and Khlyster (=”one who purges”). Their Beginning: The Khlysty are believed to have been founded by a Russian peasant , Daniil Filippov of Kostroma The Khlysty believed that priesthoods, holy books, veneration of the saints (excluding the Theotokos = The Virgin Mary). Instead, they believed in direct spiritual communication with the Holy Spirit of All. and that people could embody The Holy Spirit. Khlysty also believed that material goods were not to be worshipped just used, and thus were anti-capitalist. Also, they believed and practiced living a life of simplicity. In terms of meeting together,Khlysty practiced ecstatic dance in silence, and group (sometimes with rhythms of continuous mving from one sexual person to 2 another. These rituals were called rituals called radeniya). There is no evidence other than malicious gossip that the khlysty practiced ritual sado-masochism. It is possible that use of the whip word was to mean a form of dance similar to doing the modern dances: The Twist, The Hully Gully, the Funky Chicken, and so on. The Khylysty made themselves a invisible as possible as there was only one legal church in Russia, and they could have been confined in prison.Estimates are that somewhere in the realm of 40,000 Khlysty member-practicioners existed until the Soviet Revolution. The greatest number of Khlysty were in the factory areas of Perm. It is said that all Khlysty Groups had two equal leaders: A Primary Man and a Primary Woman. The man represented the Xristos; the woman represented Sophia the Mother of God. The secret cells were called “Arks”. Also, they had a secret messaging system of which no information for details has yet been found. Parts of Russia, Siberia, Tamboy, Kubyshev, Orenburg, Northern Caucasus, the Ukraine, all had large numbers living in Khlysty Arks.. It is likely, but unproven that other Khlysty groups were in existence in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and parts of Greece. It is highly probably because there were a lot of small separatist religionists in Europe at this time. It can be seen that the persecution of all the heterodox Russian Churches helped set the stage for a Russian revolution. As to Rasputin being attached or not attached to the Khlysty, it seems reasonable, that he was indeed a member. His love for the Virgin Mary seems a lot like love for the Mother Sophia. His form of healing was largely spiritualist in nature. He lived simply even within the Tsars Buildings. If he ever really denied he was Khlysty, that knowing he would be thrown into a Russian prison, if he said so, saw the necessity to deny being a member. 3 Whether or not it is true, a number of people who knew Gregori Rasputin said that often a blue light would emanate from his lips.
