Since 2005, the Recipe for Success Foundation,
formed by Gracie & Bob Cavnar to combat
childhood obesity and mobilize the community
to provide healthier diets for children, has created
and delivered programs to empower more than 30,000 Houston children
with the knowledge and skills they need to lead healthier lives. Through
award-winning efforts like our nationally-offered Seed-to-Plate Nutrition
Education™ in schools, Eat It! Food Adventures children’s cookbooks,
Farmers MarKIDS Days, the annual VegOut! 30-Ways in 30-Days Challenge
and the Hope Farms urban agricultural project, the Foundation works to make
healthy food appealing and available to everyone and inspire a culture where
healthy is the norm and nutritious food is shared, appreciated and celebrated.
