Series Event
Rules and regulations
The series is run over 3 rounds. All riders other than
Sprockets and Mini Wheelers must compete in 2 of
the 3 rounds in the same class to qualify. Awards
will be based on the accumulative points earned in
2 rounds. If a rider competes in 3 rounds their lowest
series points round (worst round) will be dropped.
Points from another nominated class will not be
included in the overall count.
Classes in each round with 9 riders or more will
be awarded series points for their overall ranking
at the end of the motos as follows: 25 points for
1st, 24 points for 2nd etc. After the deadman final,
additional points will be added for the riders result
as follows: 1st =25 points, 2nd =24 points etc. Riders
in the B final will receive 17 points for 1st, 16 points
for 2nd ,etc.
Age based on year of birth, as per the 2015 BMX
Australia Rule Book ie: Age at 31st December 2015
All classes with 8 or less riders are scored on ranking
after 3 motos, plus overall ranking after the 4th
moto eg. 1st =25points, 2nd= 24 points after the 3rd
moto, plus another 1st = 25points, 2nd = 24 points
on overall ranking. In the case of a tie at the end
of the series, placing will be allocated based upon
a count back of placing in the last moto that each
rider participated in, regardless of whether it is a
competitor’s dropped (worst) round.
Non- transponder event. Must have number plate
attached with correct nominated number. Failure to
do so will result in no score recorded for that moto.
Run under 2015 BMX Australia rule book: Class
R- Regional BMX Competition. Riders must hold a
current sprocket/mini wheeler, four month license
or open BMXA license.
3 riders constitute a class. Registrar has the right
to merge classes as per the 2015 BMX Australia rule
book. Should numbers fall below 3, riders will be
notified. Once a class has been formed, riders
will remain in that class for all 3 rounds.
No refunds will be offered without a medical
certificate.
Meeting formats – Each round has 3 motos & finals
for classes with more than 8 competitors. Classes
with less than 8 competitors, Sprockets and Mini
Wheelers, race 3 motos & 1 extra moto each round
(4 motos).
Prize money for places 1st to 3rd on accumulated
points at the end of the series in each formed class.
Class Prize pool is awarded 1st to 3rd only. Monies
4th – 8th are an incentive. Money breakdown as
per (approved by Red Centre BMX Club) 2015 BMX
Australia Rule 081, is used for determining award
and prize winners.
Olympic lane draw rule will apply as per the 2015
BMX Australia Rule book.
