The Venue
THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PODIATRISTS (FIP/IFP) is an international not-for-profit association focused on global leadership and the development of podiatric medicine around the world. The Federation
was founded in 1947 with 10 podiatry organizations. Over the years, it has grown to include 31 organizations
representing members in more than 30 countries spread over six continents.
Working together collaboratively with leaders of the podiatry profession, the Federation enhances the
podiatric profession through the sharing of knowledge, practice and research among member countries.
The FIP World Congress of Podiatry is held every three years and attracts participants from around the world,
including podiatrists in private practice, the public sector, the educational stream and students. As well, you
can expect to meet vascular surgeons, nurses, diabetologists and other members of the medical team. The
exhibit hall is an integral part of the World Congress that enables delegates to see a wide array of footrelated products and services from around the world.
The Palais des Congrès de Montreal is modern, sophisticated and flexible. The facility with its contemporary
architecture is centrally located and within walking distance of many major hotels. With abundant natural
light, the venue is fully accessible and equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology.

The Destination
Montreal is a cosmopolitan city selected to host this world class event which will showcase state of the art
programming in the field of podiatry.
Few cities can compete with Montréal’s mouthwatering mix of food, festivals and fun-centric living.
Montréal is a slice of old Europe in a pie of contemporary design. A day’s wander might take in the photogenic
18th-century facades of Old Montréal before a cycling tour of the lovely Canal de Lachine, or take in the glittering
shops and restaurants of downtown and ending at the inviting terraced cafes of Plateau Mont-Royal. The architectural sweep of the city takes in a wealth of heritage churches such as the breathtaking Notre-Dame Basilica, as
well as 20th-century icons like the Olympic Stadium and Habitat 67.
Montréal is Canada’s cultural juggernaut, with some 250 theater and dance companies, over 90 festivals and a
fascinating medley of neighborhoods where artists, writers and musicians have helped cement the city’s reputation
as a great arts center. The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal is the headline event, followed by parties
dedicated to world cinema, comedy and gay pride. There’s truly something for everyone at all times of the year.
Blessed with one of the most exciting food scenes in North America, Montréal brims with temples dedicated to
Kamouraska lamb, Arctic char and, of course, poutine (fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy). You’ll find irresistible patisseries, English pubs, 80-year-old Jewish delis and magnificent food markets reminiscent of Paris.
There are hipster bars with bowling alleys and innumerable cafes in which to while away a lazy afternoon. And
above all, there are the best bagels on the planet.

practioners/specialists. This meeting is the premier forum for professionals, industry and academia practicing in
this field to interact.
EXHIBIT BOOTH FEES & ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE
ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE
Priority for space assignment will be based on the date on which applications are received. Applications for exhibit
space must be made on the Official Application Form (attached to this prospectus). Tentative reservations may
be made by phone and will be held for ten working days. Within this time period, the application and required
booth space fees must be forwarded to FIP 2016 or tentative space will be released. No space will be assigned
until both an application and payment have been received.
Exhibitors wishing to avoid assignment of space adjacent to that of a particular competitor should indicate this
on their application. Careful consideration will be given to all such requests but relocation cannot be guaranteed.
In the event of conflicts regarding space requests or conditions beyond the control of the exhibit management,
FIP 2016 reserves the right to revise, relocate or reassign exhibit booths at any time for the overall benefit of the
meeting. A revised floor plan will be provided upon request.
No refunds for cancellations after April 25, 2016. Exhibitors cancelling after February 25, 2016 will be responsible
for 50% of the booth fee.
Due to security regulations, all attendees must display their 2016 World Congress of Podiatry registration for
access to the lecture and exhibit halls.
