Assistant Leasing Manager
To succeed in the role, the candidate must be self-motivated, ambitious, organized, and have
strong management skills. We are looking for a candidate who can drive multiple tasks with
competing priorities while managing a team. By seamlessly handling the tactical role, this will
allow the Leasing Manager to focus on the strategic aspect of growing the department.
Primary Job Duties:

Perform weekly market surveys for competitor properties;
Work with leasing manager on setting target lease rates for available apartments;
Lead delivery to agents;
Manager and oversee website content and marketing;
Work with marketing consultants on developing and posting ads for vacant units;
Application and lease management;
Marketing of apartment homes;
Develop reporting spreadsheet and submit daily reports to the Leasing Manager;
Walk available units and take photos to assist with determining rental pricing with Leasing
Manager;
Work with operations department for rental inventory;
Handle all leasing reports which includes preparing reports to be presented at weekly all
hands meeting;
Examine current leasing processes and suggest improvements for efficiencies;
Manage the in-house leasing team which includes working with HR to address performance
issues and/or handle issues that may arise within the leasing department;
Oversee weekly leasing meetings;
Back-up on answering incoming phone call and emails;
Attend leasing meetings and/or meetings that require leasing representation; and
Ad hoc leasing projects assigned by Leasing Manger
Requirements:

CA Real Estate License;
BA Degree in related field preferred;
At least 5 years managing a leasing team;
Must have exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate with
employees on every level;
Proven ability to implement processes within a leasing department;
Ability to motivate and coach team members;
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with priorities that constantly shift;
Strong time management skills since strict deadlines will need to be met;
The ability to get buy-in without being forceful; and
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Yardi
