InfoEd eRA V1.0 Updated 6/10/2015 How to Connect to the InfoEd How-To Materials via the UITS Web VPN (Web Access Proxy) Web VPN (Web Access Proxy) is a service provided by University of Connecticut Information Technology Services (UITS) which allows faculty, students and staff to access web pages restricted to campus computers via a secured connection from off campus locations (e.g. home, hotel, or other non-UConn network location). You do not need to use the Web VPN if you are accessing the restricted InfoEd how-to materials from an on campus computer. You only need the Web VPN for accessing the restricted InfoEd how-to documents, not InfoEd itself. The how-to documents provide step-by-step instructions on performing various functions within the InfoEd portal. The Web VPN service works best with Internet Explorer for Windows or Safari for Mac. Note: the how-to instructions are required to be placed under restricted access per an agreement with InfoEd. Connect Via the Web 1. Go to http://sslvpn.uconn.edu/. 2. The UConn Web VPN Portal will open. In the NetID field, enter your NetID. In the password field, enter your NetID password. 3.
