Dominique and Myriam talk about their experience of submitting films to international film
festivals. Networking drinks and the opening night shorts screening, as part of the Slough
International Film Festival, will follow.

Dominique leads this hand-on workshop in basic set up with cameras and editing software. Ideal
if you’re thinking of using digital communications for your start-up or first short film. Bring your
equipment with you.
EVENING FILM & CREATIVE WRITING COURSE
DATES: Monday 14th September to Monday 12th October 2015
(5 Week Course)

VENUE: The Firestation, Prime Studios, Windsor, SL4 3HR
Course Fee: £75
Dominique and Adeela will support you in developing your story ideas, draft a script, create a
storyboard and film a scene. The course will also cover an overview of how to develop a career
in the film industry. An ideal course for those wishing to learn new skills or improve their skills in
both screenwriting and film production.

Aspirations of acting for Film or TV? Then this is the course for you! Julie and Nisha lead a
course that will adapt your skills for Film and TV. Build confidence in presenting or acting in front
of the camera and gain tips in casting and finding work.

Dominique is a film producer, businesswoman and trainer with over 20 years
industry experience. She is founder and director of Resource Productions.
She has produced over 30 funded films for clients including UKFC Pinewood,
Film4 and the BBC. She is a published author and has also provided training for
Channel 4, BAFTA and the BFI. In 2014 she was awarded the Queen’s Honour
for services to the arts.
Adeela is a script consultant and founder of Scriptsmith Limited. She began
her career at Intermedia Films, in distribution and script development, working
on titles Sliding Doors, The Quiet American, Hilary and Jackie, Iris and The
Wedding Planner. She later joined Icon Entertainment International’s legal and
business affairs, working on The Passion of the Christ, Apocolypto,
Whalerider and Eagle vs Shark. Throughout her career, she has worked as a
script editor, advising, teaching and speaking on all aspects of screenwriting. Julie is an experienced drama facilitator who runs regular workshops & classes.
She favours projects that are creatively driven, and is effective at helping people
to find their creative potential. Julie trained at New Zealand’s National Academy
of Singing & Dramatic Art, and later gained a Master of Arts in Theatre
Dramaturgy at the University of Kent.
Nisha’s career varies from live Performance, Theatre, Film and T.V; working as
an Actress, Arts Manager and as a Children’s T.V. Presenter for the BBC. She
studied Contemporary Dance and Mime, and holds an Honours Degree in
Experimental Theatre. Nisha can also be seen singing live with The Herberts
and is a children’s storyteller for Once upon a Bus.
