Chairman’s Farewell
Reception and Dinner
Dr. Sean Snaith, Chief Economist
University of Central Florida, Orlando
The outlook for the U.S. economy continues to be
clouded by uncertainty. Economic recovery has been
fitful, uneven and disappointing for nearly six years.
How will the recovery fare during the rest of 2015 and beyond? Can
the housing market sustain its recovery? When will the Fed finally
commence interest rate hikes? Dr. Snaith will address these issues
and discuss policies that may be implemented in the years ahead.
The Millennial Imperative: Learn, Adapt,
Innovate and Win!
Karie Stupek,
K-T Training Solutions, Scottsdale, AZ
Today, more 23 year olds walk this planet than any
other age. Integrating the Millennials into a
Generation X/Baby Boomer-dominated world is creating tremendous
challenges for workplaces. Karie will review the facts and statistics
that tell the story and show how the Millennial influence is more than
merely generational. She’ll also discuss loyalty, retention and the risks
of ignoring the Millennial phenomenon and share tips and strategies to
transition into this new world of work and life.
The Hero Effect: Lens of Leadership
Kevin Brown, Vice President of Marketing
SERVPRO, Gallatin, TN
As the only non-family member of top management of
a successful international franchise, Kevin will share
his story of starting at the bottom of the organization,
with no college degree, and working his way up to the executive
boardroom of a company that is ranked number one in its industry.
Kevin’s path to business and personal success has taught him that
winning in business and in life requires anything but conventional
thinking. And, as the father of an autistic child, he knows first-hand
how the principles of true success reach beyond the boardroom and
into the lives of real people facing the challenges of everyday life.
With our industry now in recovery, we certainly have some challenging issues for both management and directors.
With so much “banking fatigue” around us, many are asking “why bother?” Karl Nelson will provide his insight into
what has occurred in our industry, but more importantly, what we need to focus on to ensure success in the future.
Based on our experience after the 1980s crisis, we are all about to get back to finally having some fun as directors, and we hope
you will join us for this session.
Compensating to Attract and Retain Performers in an Improving Economy and a Consolidating Industry
J. Timothy O'Rourke, Chairman & CEO
Matthews, Young-Management Consulting, Hillsborough, NC
Margins are tight, compliance expense is growing and wage pressures are building. Competitors are hunting for
your best executives and staff. Don’t miss this review of compensation trends and practical advice about your
bank’s ability to recruit, retain and motivate your staff in the current environment
More Great Sessions to Come
We’re working with members to develop several more high-impact sessions we’ll add to the agenda. Please check the GBA Bulletin
and the Annual Meeting page on www.gabankers.com for updates on these new sessions.
Annual Meeting Highlights
Sunday
Welcome Reception and Dinner

Enjoy a relaxing evening alongside the sea, filled with the sounds, scents and colors of Palm Beach. Join us as we begin a

Tuesday
Chairman’s Farewell Reception and Dinner
6:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
The Chairman’s Farewell Reception and Dinner is one of the most enjoyable events of the Annual Meeting.
Begin your last evening with friends over cocktails and a fabulous dinner. Then join Jon Stetson for an evening
of intelligent, interactive fun. Jon combines the art of mystery with the science of psychology and the power of
intuition to create the impression that nothing is impossible. Thoughts are revealed, minds are read, reality bends
and your imagination is challenged. You won’t believe your eyes! Cocktail attire is suggested.
