WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST
Brad Dressler
(Justin Hicks)
is excited to be in his first
RCP production and in
his second Ken Ludwig
play. He has a Bachelor
in Theatre from the University of Colorado
at Boulder where he had a blast studying
everything from the history of musical theater
to set construction. He is currently enrolled
in NOVA's nursing program in the hopes that
he can be a nurse by day and do community
theatre in the evenings. He wants to thank his
parents for all their love and support.
Zell Murphy
(Henry Bingham)
The Fox on the Fairway
marks Zell’s debut production
with the Reston Community
Players, and he has had a
great time working with such
a fun group of actors and production crew.
Favorite past roles include Bill Fordham in
August: Osage County (Tantallon Community
Players), Glenn Cooper in Rumors (Providence
Players of Fairfax), King Philip in The Lion
In Winter (Castaways Repertory Theater),
Emperor Joseph in Amadeus, Arnold Needham
in No Sex Please, We’re British, and Peter in
Diary of Anne Frank. Zell also enjoys stage
managing and has worked backstage at a
number of local theaters including Little Theatre
of Alexandria, McLean Community Players, and
Port City Playhouse. Daytime hours are spent
“in finance” at a trade association representing
the cable telecommunications industry. Zell is
a DC area native and makes his home in the
Del Ray section of Alexandria.
David Segal
(Dickie Bell) is an oldtimer with lots of community
theater experience, is very
pleased to be in this wild
and crazy production. Some
of his favorite roles include:
The Father in Equus (Taking Flight Theater)
Will Masters in Bus Stop (RCP), Frank in
Over the River and Thru the Woods (VTC)
and Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast
(RCP-WATCH nomination). David is especially
pleased to be working with Adam for the first
time, to have an ex-wife 40 years younger than
he AND to be a really bad golfer! Thanks to all
the cast and crew and as always, my two little
ones, Gabe and Callie! Fore!!!
Dina Soltan
(Pamela Peabody)
is thrilled to be on stage
again for her second
performance in the U.S., after
appearing as Daria Chase in
another Ken Ludwig favorite,
The Games Afoot (MCP). She is honored to
be working with such an amazing cast and
crew for this play. Dina has gained most of
her acting experience and training in
performing art schools in the UK and Egypt
with a GCSE and A level in Drama, and a
Theatre Minor. She is extremely happy that
she has been able to perform in different
theatres around the world and has found that
there are no international borders when it
comes to the enjoying the art of theatre. A
very special thanks to her husband, Omar
Khedr, whose endless and wonderful support
has made all of this possible.
Kelly Thompson
(Muriel Bingham)
is pleased to be working
again with RCP and the
delightful cast and crew of
The Fox on the Fairway.
Kelly has been involved in
community theatre since she moved to
Virginia from Canada seven years ago
working both behind and on stage. Kelly was
last seen on the RCP stage in the production
of Brooklyn Boy. She is thankful for her
wonderful and supportive husband Rick and
two boys Aidan and Dylan.
Stephanie Walsh
(Louise Heindbedder)
This is Stephanie's first
show with RCP. She has
been acting since we she
was 14 and minored in
theartre at King's College in
Pennsylvania. Her favorite past roles include
Juliet, Romeo and Juliet; Lydia Lansing,
Shakespeare in Hollywood; and Antoinette, A
Flea in Her Ear. Stephanie would like to thank
her husband and her family and friends for their
continuous love, support, and encouragement.
WHO'S WHO BACKSTAGE
Laura Baughman (Stage Manager) is
pleased to be backstage again at RCP. She
has performed various backstage roles on 40
RCP shows since 2002, most recently on 33
Variations, A Tribute to the Music of Rodgers
and Hammerstein & Andrew Lloyd Webber,
Les Miserables, Xanadu, Chapter Two and
You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Many
thanks to the creative cast and crew for the
opportunity to work with them on this show. By day, Laura is an IT analyst, and she is the
caretaker of four cats who know a soft touch
when they see one.
William Chrapcynski (Assistant Director/
Sound Design) The Fox on the Fairway
marks the seventh show that William has
worked with RCP and the second show as
assistant director. He has worked in the past as
a sound designer with shows such as Chapter
Two, 33 Variations, Moonlight and Magnolias,
and Laughing Stock. William studied theater
at Youngstown State, composition at Berklee,
and audio engineering at Northern Virginia
Community College. Outside of theater, he
works as a sound designer, musician, voice
actor, and composer for video games and film
with Pure Shift Productions.
Tom Geuting (Master Carpenter) has been
building sets for RCP since 1979. No idea
how many, but a lot. Some of his endeavors
have been Chapter Two, Communicating
Doors, August: Osage County, Bus Stop,
Proof, Lovers and Executioners, and the top
section of the staircase in Sunset Boulevard.
In addition, Tom handles furniture and set piece
rentals for RCP. Tom was introduced to RCP
by his wife Maggie who performed in many,
many shows at RCP and Northern Virginia.
She has retired, but Tom continues on. When
not at RCP, he works as a contractor to the
FAA, implementing navigational and landing
aids throughout the eastern U.S.
Adam Konowe (Director/ Lighting
Designer) began directing more than two
decades ago as a University of Rochester
undergraduate under the tutelage of Mervyn
Willis. His credits since then include Chapter
Two, Murder in Green Meadows, An
Experiment with an Air Pump, Run for Your
Wife, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Present
Laughter, Much Ado About Nothing, The
Alchemist, Lovers & Executioners, I Never Saw
Another Butterfly and Cat's-Paw. He is also an
accomplished lighting designer, primarily for
RCP and Germantown's BlackRock Center for
the Arts. Adam's chronic theatre addiction is
underwritten by a day job in marketing at TMP
Government, plus a night job as an adjunct
professor of communications at American
University (his graduate alma mater). He thanks
his wife Yael and daughter Celia for their
enduring forbearance. Adam fervently believes
PB&J sandwiches must be cut diagonally or
else the flavor will leak out.
Maggie Modig (Set Design/Scenic Artist)
has been designing/painting sets for 30+
years. DC MetroTheater Arts named her as a
“2013 Favorite Designer” for The Savannah
Disputation (RCP). She has received three
WATCH nominations: design/painting for
Present Laughter (RCP); and design for
Bus Stop (RCP). Other recent work includes:
Go Back for Murder, An Inspector Calls,
The Nerd, Third (RLT); Don Giovanni,
Abduction from the Seraglio, Bastien and
Bastienne (INSeries), Chapter Two, The
Passage, August: Osage County (RCP). She
has also designed/painted for ESP and MTA.
Maggie is a retired federal employee who lives
with her husband Carl, in DC.
Bea & Jerry Morse
(Producers/Set Decoration) are producing
their fourth RCP show and are dressing their
26th RCP set.
For their work, Bea and Jerry have received
seven WATCH nominations for Set Decoration
and one WATCH nomination for Properties.
They have received one WATCH Award for
Set Decoration (Present Laughter, RCP 2003),
also directed by Adam Konowe. Bea and Jerry
are blissfully retired, but seem to have less time
available than when they were working. Bea is
a color consultant at Vienna Paint of RestonHerndon and has started her own
small redesign and home staging business,
and Jerry serves on the RCP Board of
Directors, as RCP’s WATCH Coordinator,
and as a dedicated fan of the Washington
Capitals, Washington Nationals and the
Boston Red Sox. Our thanks and a tip of the
cap to an extremely talented cast and crew.
Enjoy the show!
Micheal J. O’Connor (Assistant Stage
Manager/Master Electrician) has stage
managed Time Stands Still for MCP, See How
They Run, Nunsense, and Boy Gets Girl for
VTC, The Heidi Chronicles for FP, Bus Stop
for RCP, A Fine and Private Place and The
WHO'S WHO BACKSTAGE
Adventures of Tom Sawyer for DS, and has
co-stage managed Colder Than Here for VTC,
ASM Sunset Blvd, 33 Variations, August:
Osage County and Lend Me a Tenor for RCP.
Sue Pinkman (Hair Design) is an RCP
veteran of 30+ years with many theatre credits
around northern Virginia, and she is very happy
to be a part of the Fox team. Most recently, she
designed wigs for Sunset Blvd. Previous RCP
credits include directing 33 Variations, The
Full Monty, and Guys and Dolls to name just
a few, and she received the Watch Award for
Outstanding Direction of a Musical, Hairspray
(LTA-2011). After a brief hiatus (to welcome
two new grandbabies in 2014), Sue is plotting
and planning (and directing) her next project:
Shrek, the Musical, which will open RCP's
2015 season in October (THINK GREEN!).
Judy Whelihan (Costume Design) has
worked in community theater for nearly 20
years. Favorite shows include Greater Tuna
and The Rocky Horror Show (ESP) WATCH
award winners for costumes. Blood Brothers,
Accomplice, RENT (ESP), Curtains and The
Drowsy Chaperone (all WATCH nominees
for costumes). Recent shows include Les
Miserables (RCP) Red, Flowers for Algernon
and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (ESP). ■
