How to apply 1. Steps required to apply for TICA – TRF – Sida – ISP Joint Fellowship for Doctoral Studies Step 1. Once the application period is open, applicants complete TICA – TRF – Sida – ISP online registration to start the application process. Instructions can be found at http://rgj.trf.or.th/tica/index_reg.asp. Step 2. Provide responses to the selection criteria. Step 3. Upload supporting documents. Step 4. Finalise and submit an application. Once an application has been successfully submitted, an automated email acknowledging the receipt of an application will be sent to the email address provided. 2. Timeline for the 2015 round TICA – TRF – Sida – ISP Joint Fellowships for Doctoral Studies Applications for the 2015 Round will be open on May 6, 2015 and will be closed at 11.59 pm (Thailand Standard Time) on June 10, 2015. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that their application and supporting documents are submitted by the closing time. Applications (including supporting documents) received after the closing time will not be considered. 3. An applicant’s responsibility Applicants are responsible for: meeting the eligibility requirements and providing appropriate supporting documents. checking http://rgj.trf.or.th/tica/index_reg.asp for any updates prior to submitting the application. completing the application in accordance with the guidelines. finalising the submission of the application by 11.59 pm on June 10, 2015. 4. Assistance To submit, applicants may request three hard-copy application forms (print out from the website) by post to the Royal Thai Embassy in the applicant’s country, indicating the reasons why they are unable to apply online. Hardcopy applications and supporting documents must be received by the Royal Thai Embassy by 11.59 pm (Thailand Standard Time) on June 7, 2015. 5. Supporting documents To be eligible, applicants must: provide the supporting documents specified for the category for which they are applying (see checklist). Applications that do not contain the necessary documents will be deemed incomplete and therefore ineligible and will not be considered further. provide an English translation if the original document is not in English. scan their supporting documents and attach them as .pdf, .doc or .rtf files. The TICA – TRF – Sida – ISP Online system will not accept other formats. provide certified (attested) copies of: - citizenship. - permanent residency (if applicable). - academic transcripts. - language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL results). To certify a document as a true copy, applicants must provide the original and a copy of the document to a formally recognised authority. This could include but is not limited to: university dean or course convener, teacher, work supervisor, lawyer, civil servant, Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Oaths or Public Notary. The cost of any fees charged by notaries for certification of documents is the responsibility of the applicant. The certifier should: 1. sight the original against the copy of the document. 2. write or use a stamp (if available), “I certify that the copy is a true copy of the original document”. 3. sign and date under the statement and provide details of their occupation. 6. Academic transcripts The applicants must provide: a certified copy of a numerically weighted academic transcript of their highest qualification (Bachelor’s Degree minimum) that shows the subjects and scores and includes an explanation of the marking system (if not clear). If an applicant does not have a transcript for their PhD, they must provide a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree transcript. 7.
