HCDE Senior Capstone, Spring 2015 WORK EXPERIENCE UW LIBRARIES PRESERVATION SERVICES Student Assistant, 2014-current Worked in the Preservation Services at Suzzallo Library, I help assist in the marking, preparation, and transiting of books to the outgoing University of Washington libraries. YABBLY UX Design Intern, Spring 2014 At Yabbly, I aided in the development of many concepts and designs of various Yabbly features. Utilizing design skills, usability testing, marketing, and even product management, I conceptualized many Yabbly projects through my designs. UW INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS UI Designer & Developer, 2013-2014 Led the development and design of an application for the UW Men’s Basketball team. Using skills in Python programming, PyQT Creator, and project management, I developed programs to analyze game statistics. KASAMA DANCE TEAM Head Coordinator, 2011-2015 I lead the FASA sa UW’s dance crew Kasama as head coordinator. I delegate tasks, teach choreography to dancers of various ages around campus, and coordinate members to function as a team while expressing my creativity through art. EDUCATION UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON Seattle, Washington, 2011-2015 BS, Human Centered Design & Engineering, Focus in Human Computer Interaction CURTIS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL University Place, Washington, 2007-2011 General Education’s Degree HTC AWARE WEARABLE Currently working on a wearable project, sponsored by HTC, that is designed to promote focus and attention by alleviating the effects of fatigue for people experiencing sleep deprivation. EVOKE HCDE 455: User Interface Design, Autumn 2014 Worked on a wearable design that helped users capture their raw life moments with very little invasion into their everyday routines. We utilized a user-centered approach in developing personas, scenarios, prototypes, and usability testing. SOCIAL TRANSPORTATION DESIGN 383: Foundations of IXD , Summer 2014 Led the design of a project that focused on alleviating the social stigma of awkward bus rides throughout the Seattle area. Based on our user research, we developed a high-fidelity mockups of a social table that could be implemented in buses and trains. THREE GOOD THINGS HCDE 496: Directed Research Group, Spring 2014 Conducted usability testing on the website Three Good Things that focused on users writing down three things that happened in their day to promote happiness. Based on our results, we were able to make user interface design suggestions that would improve the overall user experience.
