THE TAGLINE EXTENSION ARM.
TAG-EX the Tagline Extension Arm is a new rigging safety device invented and
manufactured in Australia.
TAG-EX is a permanently or temporarily attached mechanical arm used to protect
riggers, doggman, and any other workers working with suspended loads. It is
attached to any lifting device or object that has the potential to be lifted.
Rope attached to any lifted object is termed a tagline, and is used to steady, turn,
manipulate, guide and control the load while it is suspended. Due to the forces of
gravity the tagline hangs in a vertical orientation and subsequently beneath the
suspended load. This places the worker in a seriously dangerous and prohibited
area underneath the suspended load when grabbing and handling the tagline. It
breaches all lifting safety procedures, codes of practice, Australian Standards, site
rules, safe work practices, jha’s and general common sense.
The TAG-EX Arm folds out in the deployed position to provide an attachment
point for the tagline, which is now at a much safer distance from the load when
suspended and allows the worker to freely grasp and handle the tagline while
remaining outside the line of fire of falling objects and the suspended load. The

Tagline Extension Arm can also be used to the walk the load when at ground level,
when used with a mobile crane. It can be used to control the load as a steering
arm to position the load when landing, manipulate the load in tight spaces, push
and pull the load and general handling of the load all while being at a safe
distance from the suspended load.
TAG-EX can be attached to almost anything that you need to lift if we don’t have a
TAG-EX product that will attach to your suspended load. We will endeavour to
work with you to rectify this issue.

TAG-EX is a unique safety device for use with tools, materials, and materials
handling equipment that is lifted with cranes or hoists.
It is a ridged arm that folds in and out from its protective frame and provides an
attachment point for the Tagline, a fibre rope that is compulsory to attach to all
loads that are to be lifted using a crane.
The TAG-EX keeps the tagline away from the load when it is suspended so the
worker never has to be in a position where the load could fall or collide with
them. It also allows the worker to handle and manipulate the load whilst
suspended and keep at a safe distance.
Australian and New Zealand standards state that it is forbidden to work under,
handle or be in a position where a suspended load can harm you.

The TAG-EX Scaffold attachment TSA 900 is the perfect addition to any pre built
scaffold that is required to be craned into position. With the addition of the two
half scaffold fittings on the side or the back of the TSA 900 attachment to the
standard of any scaffold is very simple. The TSA 900 provides a safe attachment
point for the tagline the TSA 900 is also a great steering arm at ground level.

Model description - TS 580, TS 900.
TAG-EX has a detachable model for use with stillage’s and scaffold systems. It is
easy to attach using a standard right angle coupler. The tube section connected to
the bottom rear of the TAG-EX is the same diameter as a scaffold tube It can be
attached and detached in seconds and has the convenience of being used on
many pieces of equipment.

require maintenance and upgrades. In doing so dismantling and moving heavy
items with cranes is common. The TAG-EX shoe bracket is an inexpensive way to
conduct your lift safely. The brackets are attached to the plant components and
are permanent which allows the TAG-EX frame to simply click in and out when the
lift is to take place. Such items are pumps, motors, grid mesh levels, screens, hood
covers or any building components.

items with cranes is common. The TAG-EX bracket is an inexpensive way to
conduct your lift safely. The brackets are attached to the plant components and
are permanent which allows the TAG-EX Arm to simply be installed using locking
pin when the lift is to take place. Such items are pumps, motors, grid mesh levels,
screens, hood covers or any building components. The cube bracket can also be
used for lifting frames, spreader bars, and mechanical and vehicle elements.
The Cube brackets have a steel locking pin which retains the TAG-EX arm. The arm
has a fixed stopping angle of 90 degrees so it protrudes from the load in a
horizontal orientation.
The TAG-EX Heavy Duty Cube Bracket system is versatile and inconspicuous on
the load it is attached to. The models TCB-A and TCB-B are adaptable to flat and
cylindrical surfaces and also vertical and horizontal surfaces so they can be
integrated to almost any application. Model TCB-C SPOOL has a threaded rod at
the rear for bolting onto spool ends of pipe work. Model TCB-D PRECAST has an
integrated thread that screws into precast concrete structures.

Rising Fast Pty. Ltd. have developed a stillage with a built in TAG-EX. The TAG-EX
safety device allows the user to handle, manoeuvre, provide an attachment point
for the tagline, and access the tagline safely when the stillage is being lifted. It
also provides a distance barrier for potential dropped objects so the worker
below is in a safe zone. The TAG-EX attached is 580mm in length and still allows
for stillage’s to be stacked.
