Dear Donor,
I need your help to encourage a struggling community on the 10th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina by funding
a playground in honor of local family killed during the storm. Edgar and Christina Bane along with their two
sons with autism,
Edgar and Carl, died as the monster hurricane swept through Waveland, Ms. Your donation will create a place
for the town's children to come together in the spirit of playing and healing.
Ten years ago New Jersey Firemen reached out to schools here in Bay St. Louis after Hurricane Katrina and
built a playground to help in recovery. Now, ten years later these very same men will return to Waveland,
Mississippi to build a playground in honor of Edgar and Carl Bane.
Please accept this letter as a request for donation for this worthy cause. Monetary donations, donating your
time, donation of services, materials and labor would be appreciated. Your support will help to give a
community a chance to rebuild hope and recovery. This playground will be a reflection and spirit of these boys
whom we lost in the terrible storm, Hurricane Katrina, ten years ago.
