Press Release Official Opening of Suncroft Playground The official opening of Suncroft Playground took place on Saturday, 11 April 2015. The opening was performed by the Mayor of Kildare, Councillor Fiona O'Loughlin. The playground was built at a cost of €115,000, which came from development levies collected in the Kildare-Newbridge Electoral Area. The playground features equipment suitable for children from 1-12 years. Among the equipment is two sand play areas, a multi play tower unit with a slide, swings, roundabouts, a seesaw and rockers. The playground is located to the rear of the new community centre at the Community fields in the Village. The playground in the 19th playground to be provided in Kildare since 2005 and compliments the new community centre adjacent to the playground.
