This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents for the Project described above
and shall supersede referenced sections of the Bidding Documents. This Addendum is
an integral part of said Bidding Documents and shall be acknowledged in the
Contractor’s Bid Proposal form. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the
Proposal may cause the Proposal to be rejected.
I.
This addendum is comprised of three (3) parts: (1) Pre-proposal Questions;
(2) Clarifications; and (3) Attachments.
II.
PRE-PROPOSAL QUESTIONS
A. Question: Do you have a recycling program?
B. Answer: Yes, the Rose Bowl Has a recycling program in conjunction
with the City of Pasadena and Los Angeles Conservation Core (LACC).
C. Question: So there would not be a double pick we would focus on just
collecting?
D. Answer: LACC handles, what they don’t pick up it is your responsibility
to handle. If you have a suggestion as to a better method, we are always
open to explore ways to improve our operations.
E. Question: What is your turn around? What is your goal to be ready?
F. Answer: In the situation where we have a Saturday event, with another
major event following the next week, typically in the past the stadium

would not be ready until Wednesday or Thursday. Going forward we are
looking for this to be completed by Monday or Tuesday (2-3 days
following the major event).
G. Question: What times would we need to stop our cleaning process for
the stadium flip?
H. Answer: Adjustment to lights would be needed and if blower would look
into time that it needs to end.
I. Question: If there is an immediate flip of the stadium, from one event to
another event, at that point in time what do we need to do?
J. Answer: Contractor would be communicated to in advance as to what
the requirements and demands would be of the particular events.
K. Question: Any issues with wash down? With water conservation?
L. Answer: We are always looking to see if there are any adjustments to
make to improve upon our current system.
M. Question: We are talking wash down not pressure wash?
N. Answer: Currently we utilize fire hoses not pressure wash.
O. Question: You are not opposed to using pressure wash, if we already
have them?
P. Answer: No.
Q. Question: No issue with reclaimed water?
R. Answer: We are currently in the process of SWEPP system
implementation, currently our stadium wash-down goes down to tunnel
23a and 28a and into our sewer drains, so there is no reclaimed water
challenge with that. However there are challenges in other areas of the
venue, which are being addressed in the SWEPP project.
S. Question: Do the staff check the individual suites? Or only when it is
needed?
T. Answer: Yes they do check it.
U. Question: Is the expectation to have a tenant at each restroom?

V. Answer: Yes, the restrooms would need to be checked every 5 to 10
minutes. If it is a high capacity event, they would need to be continuously
servicing the restrooms.
W. Question: Any special trash collecting carts you use so it is not an eye
sore?
X. Answer: They use brut barrels; if possible add linens over them.
Y. Question? Will you furnish the linens to cover the brut barrels?
Z. Answer: Yes.
AA.
Question: Thoughts on compost and recycling?
BB.
Answer: It depends on the situation. Sorting is preferred if time
permits.

Question: Are there some identified recycle bins?
DD.
Answer: Yes you will see them identified.
EE.
Question: The janitorial rooms in Pavilion, will they need to be
completely restocked or is the product in there available to use?
FF.
Answer: Janitors’ closets have been emptied at the conclusion of
the season it will be the responsibility of the Contractor to fully stock all
of the janitors’ closets. The RBOC will provide the trash bags and liners;
however, the Contractor will be responsible for purchasing the product
for the building.

Question: The current chemicals in the facility, do they need to be
used by company or can we bring in different chemical products?
HH.
Answer: The bid documents currently state that RBOC will provide
all chemicals and purchase all cleaning supplies. The RBOC will provide
trash bags and liners only; Contractor will be responsible for furnishing
the remainder of cleaning supplies required.
II. Question: Escalator cleaning, can we bring in a sub-contractor to clean
them?
JJ. Answer: Yes, but the cost needs to be included in your bid.
KK.
Question: Are we responsible for cleaning the concession stands?

LL. Answer: No, the concession/catering company will clean the stands
and leave the garbage bags placed in a designated area to be picked up
by Contractor to take to dumpsters.
MM.
Question: Will there be presentations following the bids being
turned in?
NN.
Answer: No, this is a low bid only and presentations will not be
conducted.
OO.
Question: The staff parks on the golf course for major events?
PP.
Answer: Yes all staff parking is first come, first serve on the golf
course unless it is deemed there will not be enough parking for patrons,
in which case a shuttle operation will be implemented for all staff.
QQ.
Question: Are there roll offs available and how many typically?
RR.
Answer: Yes, there is one (1) for all major events, and at times
can be two, (2).
SS.
Question: Do the concert promoters utilize the media centers for
artist locations?
TT.
Answer: It depends on the individual promoter; they will choose the
locations they feel would best suit the artists.
UU.
Question: Are we responsible for cleaning the Administration
Offices?
VV.
Answer: Yes.
WW.
Question: What freight elevators are available and can we utilize
other elevators on non-event days (daily operations)?
XX.
Answer: The freight elevator for the Pavilion is labeled with
Employee Elevator. All elevators are available during all times, with the
exception of gate opening time through event, and up to 45 minutes at
the conclusion of the event, or as soon as patrons have exited the
building.
YY.
Question: What are the Flea Market areas? Does it use Area H?
ZZ. Answer: Flea Market utilizes the exterior concourse of the stadium,
Lot F and Lot K. Area H is utilized for parking.

III.
CLARIFICATIONS
A. Section 4.9.23 currently states that “The RBOC shall furnish all chemicals
necessary to perform the Contract Services.” This statement is incorrect as
Contractor will be required to furnish all cleaning supplies and chemicals
necessary to perform the Contract Services.
IV.
ATTACHMENTS

A link will be sent to all potential proposers receiving this correspondence via
email with return receipt.
