Departing from HELiPRO we fly over the Canterbury Plains on track to the remote Southern
Alps. Flying through the spectacular Waimakariri Gorge enjoy a breathtaking flight through
this world-renowned river canyon, gateway to the South Island’s Main Divide, then on to land
at Flock Hill Station a major filming location for the ‘Narnia’ movie. Take some time to explore
around the unique rock formations and take in the scenery that provided the backdrop to this
famous movie before you re-board your helicopter for a beautiful flight back to the Helicentre.

Enjoy a scenic flight from the HELiPRO Helicentre across Christchurch as we travel towards
the volcanic crater rim of the Akaroa Harbour. Here we land at French Farm’s fabulous
Mediterranean styled Winery and Restaurant. The French Farm valley offers a stunning
natural backdrop, with a meandering stream, a spectacular view of the harbour, hills and an
abundance of native trees. French Farm also provides a multitude of options for weddings,
special occasions, corporate entertaining or just a special day out away from the hustle and
bustle of city life. Your helicopter waits while you enjoy lunch/refreshments before returning
you to Christchurch.

Join us to explore what lies beyond our Garden City. Passing over Christchurch we climb to
the rim of Christchurch’s famous Extinct Lyttelton Volcano to reveal the sheltered waters of
Lyttelton harbour. We then take you over Banks Peninsula and onto the historic French
inspired community of Akaroa with its beautiful harbour residents - the Hector Dolphins.
Returning to Christchurch we enjoy spectacular views of the Canterbury Plains and distant
Southern Alps.

Chest Peak Alpine Landing

From the HELiPRO Helicentre we fly west over the Canterbury Plains on track to the majestic

canyon before climbing again to land on the dramatic summit of Chest Peak, where you’ll take
in simply breath-taking 360-degree views. Then re-board your helicopter and enjoy the return
flight to Christchurch. This is a truly unique and unforgettable day.
Optional picnic lunch in the heart of the Waimakariri Gorge or on the top of Chest Peak
available on request, $55 per person. Picnic lunch extends the tour by up to one hour.
