HOW TO PLACE YOUR ROLL CART AT THE CURB
“Keep it in the cart”
In cooperation with the City of Del Rio and you, our fine customer, RR Waste Solutions will be
implementing a roll cart collection system. No longer will you have to purchase and provide a garbage
container to have your garbage collected.
Each Del Rio resident with an active water account will receive a 95 gallon roll cart. Each cart will have an
address matched to the serial number on each roll cart. These carts will provide for a cleaner
environment, better looking streets on collection day and a much safer collection method.
These carts have two wheels for easy handling and an attached lid that reduces odors and helps keep out
insects and stray animals. On collection day, there will be no piles of garbage, just a row of carts at the
curb.
This new collection method will increase efficiency and customer satisfaction because no longer will bags
be cherry picked from containers; your cart will be mechanically lifted and dumped into the garbage truck.
In order to properly collect your solid waste, we must have unobstructed access to your roll cart. To
insure clean and proper pick up, please be sure your carts are not overflowing and the lids are closed
when you place your cart out for pick up. Note: Place your cart out before 6:00 am on your designated
collection day.
Drivers will not pick up anything outside the cart; collection is cart content only.

City streets are now the designated curbside collection points. Do not place your container in the alley
for collection and do not use the old swing can in the alley.
Do not place the container behind obstacles such as trees or retaining walls and do not chain, tie or
otherwise secure the container to any object. Please see the picture below for the proper placement of
your roll cart.
