The AAU National Surfing Championships began in Cocoa Beach, FL and provides a platform for amateur surfers to compete on a national level. We are proud to host this 4th annual event with such a prestigious organization. The Slater Brothers Invitational has brought thousands of spectators to converge on this exciting event, as well as, host to volunteers, and amateur and professional athletes in surfing and skateboarding. This year, we will be adding Surfing with the Stars to the Slater Brothers Invitational. We will also include a vert ramp event with high-profile professional skaters including the world-renowned skater, Adam Taylor. The World Skin Cancer Foundation began in Cocoa Beach on Florida’s East Coast five years ago and interest in building awareness for the causes and prevention of skin cancer nationally, has created the need for Foundation operations on the West Coast as well. The expansion was made possible due to the efforts of several prominent West Coast business leaders from the sports and health care industries and the Foundation’s Florida-based Board of Directors.
