made the decision to come to Ex-Services
Ballina – for the terrific environment, the
great people – and for the place having size
and scope of services that can provide for
my wife and I in our later years.

Ex-Services Ballina is situated at Ballina
on the North Coast. Established 60 years
ago, the Village is a picturesque oasis.
Situated on the beautiful river in Central
Ballina, with water views, the Village is a
special place of natural beauty and unique
character in a fantastic setting.

swimming or your mind with a stimulating
course from the university of the third age.
Enjoy a waterside stroll under the Norfolk
Pines along the Remembrance Walk. Stroll
through colourful gardens or enjoy a light

Care

senior living is yours. There are 53 apartments
of various size – one and two-bedroom
apartments thoughtfully designed with vibrant
independent living in mind, the perfect place
for your treasures. There are activities that
invigorate your body, mind and spirit – and
distinctive services that touch your heart.
Ex-Services Ballina is a community perfectly
suited to your vibrant lifestyle. And one that
offers the peace of mind should you need
care-in-the-home. LifeCare @ Home is right
there and if the time comes that you need a
little extra help with the activities of daily living,
it is reassuring to know that Ex-Services
Ballina features a fully accredited residential
care home.

The Village also cares for 120 residents in our
Residential Care Home – Ex-Services Home.
Accommodation comprises a bed/sitting room
with private bathroom, heating and cooling and
emergency call button. Some of our high care
areas are share rooms. There are community
lounges and dining rooms.
Friendly staff liaise with Residents, providing care
and companionship. We aim to assist all residents
to maintain as much independence as possible.
We ensure that our Residential Aged Care Home
facility receives accreditation by the Federal
Government’s Aged Care Standards Agency.
Staffed around the clock by dedicated
professionals, the assisted living residence offers
help with bathing, dressing and administering
medications. Residents of assisted living enjoy
three delicious meals each day and participate in
a wide array of programs and events especially
tailored to their interests and abilities.
Ex-Services Ballina provides 24/7 staff and
emergency call service, friendly community
rooms for functions and family occasions,
billiards room, hair salon, library and our
comprehensive recreation and activities program
including morning teas, walking club, exercise
classes, happy hour and much more. All residents
have access to our bus service with frequent trips
to shops and local points of interest.

Our History
RSL LifeCare is a charitable organisation that was
formed in 1911 to provide care and service to war
veterans. Services were initially provided at Bare
Island, Botany Bay, until moving to Narrabeen in 1939.
From small beginnings providing care and service to
just a handful of war veterans, the organisation has
grown to be one of the largest senior living services
in Australia.
