For the
Not-So-Retiring
First, there is the ideal location in a major
regional town, yet close to the services that
only a city like Canberra can offer. Then
there is the peaceful setting, combined
with beautiful rural views. Open your front
door and step out into a community that
exemplifies everything you expect from
independent living. A community where
neighbours become friends. Where stories
are shared over coffee. Where you can
participate in various groups. This setting,
combined with the village design and
layout, makes RSL LifeCare’s Linton Village
a great place for the not-so-retiring.
Choose from spacious two and threebedroom residences (49 in total) that
offer a perfect complement for carefree,
independent living. Participate in your
choice of inviting programs and events.
The Village offers a lifestyle based on
security and peace of mind. If the time
comes for additional care, we can provide
LifeCare @ Home services. We aim to
assist all residents to maintain as much
independence as possible. We also have
on-site our 82-bed residential care service
– Linton Home.
Linton Village provides 24/7 staff and
emergency call service, friendly community
room for functions and family occasions,
billiards room, workshop, hair salon, library
and our comprehensive recreation and
activities calendar including morning teas,
walking club, exercise classes and much
more. All residents have access to our bus
service with frequent trips to shops and
local points of interest.

to look after you
Comments from our Residents
“This is one of the best kept secrets in
the RSL… I love it here.”
“It’s a very nice atmosphere. Lovely people
live here. You don’t have to be involved in
anything if you don’t want to – you can
just enjoy yourself quietly.”
“I like the open spaces…
no maintenance too!”
“We were happy where we were living but it
had become very busy, very noisy, and we’re
pleased to now be somewhere where it is
quiet and not too far from anywhere.”
“If someone has a problem, for example if
they are sick, we make sure there is someone
looking after their place, looking after the
mail, all the things they worry about.”
“Best move my wife and I ever made.
Matter of fact, we should have moved
here ten years ago.“
Linton Home is a living community for 82
seniors who are provided with residential
care or nursing home services. There is
around-the-clock influence of registered
nurses and care assistants. Linton Home
is designed for people who need medical/
rehabilitative care, restorative care, dementia
care as well as those with mental health issues.
The living spaces include wide halls, lounges,
reminiscence centres and nurse care areas.
Residents live in single or partnership rooms,
and shared community rooms for planned
daily activities, socials and dining. Meals are
prepared based on individual dietary needs.
The type and amount of care a person receives
is dependent on what is needed to maintain
his or her lifestyle and includes assistance
with basic activities of daily living (eating,
bathing and grooming, toilet help, dressing,
transport, etc) in which a resident may require
help or supervision. Skilled Care is provided
for those who need medical or nursing care
or rehabilitative services for the rehabilitation
of injured, disabled or sick persons. Specialist
dementia care accommodation gives residents
the best quality life in a safe and supportive
environment. A personalised activities calendar
is also available to all residents.

Our History
RSL LifeCare is a charitable organisation that
was formed in 1911 to provide care and service
to war veterans. Services were initially provided
at Bare Island, Botany Bay, until moving to
Narrabeen in 1939. From small beginnings
providing care and service to just a handful of
war veterans, the organisation has grown to be
one of the largest senior living services
in Australia.
Caring for 4000 people across Independent
Living, Community Care, Assisted Living,
Dementia and Nursing Home, we have
developed an extensive range of services that
fosters independence and provides social,
clinical, emotional and spiritual support.
Despite our growth and the passage of time,
RSL LifeCare remains true to its original aim
and mission – to provide a home of peace and
security to senior Australians.
