Centennial Park is proud to be the resting place
for thousands of returned service men and
women and will be hosting its inaugural family
friendly outdoor cinema tribute to commemorate
the ANZAC Centenary.
FREE ENTRY
Based on a true story and set during WWI,
The Lighthorsemen tells the story of the men of the
Australian Light Horse unit who were thrust into the
last great cavalry charge when the British campaign
in Palestine became stalemated in the 1917 Battle of
Beersheba, starring Peter Phelps, Sigrid Thornton,
Gary Sweet and Jon Blake.

Nearly 35,000 South Australian men enlisted
during World War I. Over 5,000 South Australians
died during the war.
Come and enjoy a free screening of an Australian
classic World War I film, The Lighthorsemen, (PG rated).
