2015 HANOI VERTICAL RUN INTRODUCES NEW CATEGORY
TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Hanoi, Vietnam, 22 March 2015 – Hanoi’s tallest building, Landmark 72, will host Vietnam’s only
vertical race - the Hanoi Vertical Run Vertical Run. On April 18, runners will start at the tower’s ground
floor lobby and ascend 72 floors to skydeck. They will face the challenge of running up a total 72 floors
to a height of 350 metres, where, assuming can recover their breath, will see stunning views of
Hanoi’s skyline.
For the first time, the Hanoi Vertical Run is introducing the “Fun Climb” category to allow family and
friends to experience a vertical run atmosphere in a more relaxed way. Runners will be climbing 38
floors, about half the distance of the “Challenge” category.
“We believe that sport should be for everyone. Whatever your ability, the Fun Climb will allow more
runners to participate with their friends and family members. We are looking forward enthusiastically to
seeing these runners on Race Day and playing their part in spreading positive energy.” says David
Shin of event organisers Sporting Republic.
To reassure the participants, the organisers pointed out that whatever the race category might be,
there is no time limit; people can decide to climb at their own pace.
Runners will be flagged off in waves of between 10 to 15 people, commencing in the afternoon and
expected to finish by early evening with men, women and children 12 and above of all fitness levels
encouraged to enter in what expects to be a fun and energetic event.
Entry is open until 3 April and can register either online or on-site. For more information about the
event, please visit the event website: www.runhanoi.com.
