Prior to developing a widely acclaimed curriculum for new distillers in partnership with Alan Peterson, Deanna and her husband owned a small family winery in Washington for eight years. For the past ten years Deanna has been employed by Green River Community College as the Director of Small Business Assistance Center program. She is also a certified instructor for the highly acclaimed NXlevel curriculum and has obtained over 87 million dollars in funding for her clients over the past ten years, working to add value to products within the agricultural industry. Allan Peterson Allan Peterson is the Certified Business Adviser and Certified Global Business Professional at the office of the Grant County Economic Development Council, WA. Allan is the founder of the Artisan Craft Distilling week long workshop. The workshop trains those who want to own and operate a legal distillery. He has 26 years of management experience in chain drugstore operations where he developed strategic business marketing and planning skills in urban and rural markets. Areas of specialization include; exporting, personnel policies and procedures, business planning and marketing, bringing new innovations to market. Wade Bennett, Rockridge Orchards For 21 years Rockridge Orchards has been producing apples, pears and exotic fruit on the 41 acre farm on the Enumclaw Plateau. They operate a cider juicing plant, a winery making hard ciders and fruit wines, a small retail store, a vinegar business and a craft distillery. The distillery produces apple and Asian pear brandies from their own fruit grown on the Enumclaw Plateau. It is small batch, seasonal and hyper local. Flavor is paramount to all of their products. Awards: Best artisan beverage producer in 2009 by Edible Communities; Washington Farmers of the year in 2010 by Washington Farmer's Market Association; King County Rural Business of the year in 2011; Conservation Leader of the year in 2011.
