On Wednesday, the 27th of August, we held our yearly Parents’
Orientation Day in the gymnasium of the junior school. The purpose of
this event was to convey information about our school, ISC-RUWAIS, to
parents of new students.
The morning started with a brief overview of the SABIS® system was
presented by four prefects who each focused on one particular aspect.
Their talks included an explanation of the SABIS® educational system, its
history, purpose, core values and statistics. This segment was followed by
an interval of 15 minutes for coffee and tea.
The next session was led by Mr. Breslin and Mrs. Omayma who explained
to parents what the first day of school would be like for the new students.
They clarified important issues such as class lists, transport, food
requirements, school uniforms, books, school rules and the Web-School
service. At the end, students also assisted with answering parents’
questions.
