Film Cleaning Guide

Decorative Glass Film Cleaning Instructions
The following are the recommendations for maintaining and servicing your graphic and decorative
window films.
Drying time
The installer will remove of most of the water used to install your film. However, some water, cloudy
patches, or bubbles may remain and dissipate over a 30 day period. This is the normal curing time. Do
not manipulate the film during this 30 day period. If any manipulation takes place during this time, the
warranty for the films may be void. These blemishes will disappear. The timing of the trapped moisture
will go away depending on the atmospheric conditions.
Cleaning
Do not clean your window film for 30 days. The adhesives will need to ‘set/cure’ before cleaning can be
performed. A soft cloth, dirt free squeegee or synthetic clean sponge is recommended to clean your
film. Do not use paper towels, exterior window cleaning tools, brushes, or any harsh cleaners. Your
cleaning solution should consist of 1 Tsp of water based detergent ( like Dawn) to one quart of
demineralized water. We do not recommend any cleaner containing alcohol, acid or ammonia. Always
use soft, clean materials. Use the clean sponge and solution above to clean film surface, and a clean
squeegee to dry film.
