It has never been easier to collect sensor information ¢ What to do with that information ? HOW TO SAVE ENERGY WITH STAND ALONE LUMINAIRES ? ... with simple sensors (PIR&CL) & ... intelligent LED driver OR … intelligent ballast § Self learning features –> no commissioning § Increased intelligence is based on sensor information and driver SW algorithms and rules –> 40 % increased energy saving WHAT IS THE CONCEPT? ACTIVE LIGHTING – SELF LEARNING ¢ ¢ ¢ Learning period: 60-100 hours A single luminaire or in a group of other luminaires => different PIR on times (10 min or 85 min) What is the location - close to external lights or not => different dimming ranges (25-100% or 80-100%) Am I alone…? I’m over here. Are there external lights ? WHAT IS THE CONCEPT? ACTIVE LIGHTING – IN OPERATION ¢ Automatic energy saving • Constant light functionality • • Active when influenced by external light (for ex close to windows, aisles) Minimum level clamps to a higher level when no external light is present • PIR absence detection • • Quick switch OFF for single luminaires Long transition period on minimum level when other luminaires in the surrounding • Maintains designed light level over entire life cycle • • Avoiding over-illumination of new luminaires Light level set between 85-100% LET’S BE ACTIVE
