By hosting the SA Schools Music Competition, SACS through it’s SA Schools Music Competition Organising Committee intends to nurture the musical development of young people throughout our country and to enhance our commitment to promoting music at SACS, thereby rewarding young people who have shown commitment to their musical development, studies and have achieved a high degree of excellence. . As a departure from the Competition’s previous Judging Modus Operandi the First Round Entry Submission Procedure has been changed. 
All initial First Round Entries to be recorded on an i‐phone or similar quality android device and uploaded to U‐Tube for submission 
The reason for this is that for the First Round it is the Competition Organiser’s intention to encourage as many entrants as possible from as wide an economic spectrum as possible to enter. We aim to make entry as affordable and as all inclusive and as affordable to as wide a range of entries as possible. 
Every entrant will use the same method of recording thereby ensuring that no genuine talent is overlooked in the initial Round‐1 phase 
In this way, all entries will be judged on the same basis without any entrant benefitting from the use of expensive recording studio assistance. 
Entrants who are successful in Round 1 and proceed to the Semi and Final Rounds will be required to perform at SACS High School 3 COMPETITION CATEGORIES AND REQUIREMENTS 1. INSTRUMENTS Accordion Brass Guitar Harp Percussion Recorder Strings Voice Woodwind
