Aequitas NEO Exchange Inc. has entered the Canadian capital markets to establish a new stock exchange that will
seek to restore the original purpose of an exchange: the efficient allocation of capital between issuers and investors
as a central force driving the Canadian economy.
Position Purpose:
The Application Support Engineer will join the Technology Operations team providing technical and administrative
support across all application systems. This is a technical role requiring quick and comprehensive learning of various
capital markets products. The candidate is expected to display strong knowledge in applications support,
troubleshooting complex issues, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities
• Aid with administration, debugging/troubleshooting and deployment of various applications in
production/development environments.
• Perform as level 2 support for client issues.
• Administration of various issue-tracking and knowledge-repositories.
Required Skills
• 1+ years experience with equities trading, capital markets
• 1+ years experience providing production support in a complex systems environment.
• 1+ years experience with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience working with FIX and/or ITCH protocols considered an asset
• Scripting experience (bash, etc.) considered an asset
• Oracle experience considered an asset
Travel Requirements:
<5% (or less than 10 calendar days per year). Under exceptional circumstances, a request may be made for
additional time (up to 15 days) with reasonable notice
