There is no doubt that Green Valley Junior School has a special call to serve Orphans and HIV positives with respect, equal opportunity and required sense of professionalism” says, Prophet Patrick Donald Oucha. Green Valley Junior School has a total of 100 orphans and 20 HIV positive children, registered to share and benefit from educational services offered under small resource envelope. “It’s my pleasure to discover that your school has the spirit of love for the vulnerable children in Africa. I can see the struggle you put in to move life ahead.” Explains, Prophet Patrick Donald Oucha. THE ESTABLISHMENT OF GREEN VALLEY Combination of high demand for early child development facilities and short supplies of such facilities in Kampala, low levels of literacy, community moral support and rapidly changing technology-driven world; Propelled Pastor John Masolo and Ms Florence Kitui to commit hard earned family financial resources and visibly scarce quality time towards establishment of Green Valley Junior School, Kampala-Uganda-Africa 2001. “I reflected upon the vicious cycle of poverty within communities and my intra-personal voice became restless. With educational investments in me and good government policies, I found a fertile ground to establish Green Valley Junior School, as a pre-primary facility first, then a primary school targeting the disadvantaged children in Uganda and across Africa.” Explains, Pastor John Masolo. The school was established in 2001 with 20 learners. By 2009 enrolment rate rose to about 600 learners. This 2015 the school has 300 learners. “Yes, we have 300 learners and the figure could fall to 250 by end of 2015. Parents do relocate with children as they change work stations.” Says, Pastor John Masolo. In 2014 the school had 18 candidates for primary leaving examinations (P.L.E).Out of the eighteen pupils, five scored with first grade and the rest were in second grade. “Our academic performance speaks louder than any other school activity. We have become a household name within.” Explains, Pastor John Masolo. Green Valley Junior School runs mixed day and boarding educational facility, serving majorly children other privately owned schools have no time budget for. “I visited about 15 private schools in Kampala this 2015. It’s only Green Valley Junior School that has touched my heart with the sense of true love for humanity.” Explains, Prophet Patrick Donald Oucha.
