No Adoration on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25.
“Theological insights are gained not only from between two covers
of a book, but from two bent knees before an altar. The Holy Hour
becomes like an oxygen tank to revive the breath of the Holy Spirit in
the midst of the foul and fetid atmosphere of the world.”
~Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

It is not a difficult process. For information
or to sign up, please contact our Sacred
Heart Columbus parish missionaries, Mike
and Sue Gill at 614-529-4108.
As we focus on the family in a special way this year,
Bishop Campbell is encouraging all families throughout
the Diocese to enthrone their homes to the Sacred Heart.
Bishop Campbell will also be consecrating the whole
Diocese to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus at a special
Mass on Friday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph
Cathedral, Columbus. All are welcome to attend.
Also, you have an opportunity to see a home
enthronement first hand. Fr. Pat will be enthroning
his own home and is inviting anyone who would like
to witness it to open houses June 15 through June 22
starting at 6 p.m. Fr. Pat’s house is next to the church on
the ramp side, 136 West Ave.
Bishop’s Annual Appeal Continues
Living in and with Christ compels us to care for
one another; may the success of the Bishop’s
Annual Appeal (BAA) help those in most need.

Saint of the Week:
St. Bernardine of Siena
Died: May 20, 1444
Born: September 8, 1380
Memorial: May 20
Canonized: May 24, 1450
Bernardine’s charismatic preaching filled the piazze of Italian cities. Thousands
of listeners flocked to hear him. He was a renowned peacemaker, in the Franciscan tradition, who
tried to calm feuding clans and factions in the turbulent political world of the Renaissance. His
preaching visits would often culminate in mass reconciliations, as listeners were persuaded to
exchange the bacio di pace, or kiss of peace.
