On behalf of the Knights of Columbus council 4057, I would like to thank all the parishioners who supported our most recent "Seminarian Benefit Spaghetti Dinner" held on March 14, 2015. Each year we have run this fundraiser for the seminarians of Saint Patrick church, the event has grown in popularity, attendance and in the amount of funds raised to support these extraordinary young men. This year's dinner was no different. In fact, this year's event saw record number of donations during the actual event itself. I am happy to report that Council 4057 will be able to send each seminarian supported through these efforts a check in excess of $700 each. This has been made possible in large part due to your generosity. Thank you and may God bless you. We must cooperate in order to effect the Redemption. Jesus once said, “I created you without you, but I will not save you without you.” Mary, our Mediatrix, implored this Special Grace from the Father based on the Holy Wounds of her Divine Son… and it was granted. The grace of the Virgin’s Flame of Love will help us, to help Mary, save souls, and will bring us closer to Christ, and Him to us. She will blind Satan with the Flame of Light and the Grace which bursts forth from her Immaculate Heart. Devotion to the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary finds its origin in the revelations of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary to Elizabeth Kindelmann. Elizabeth's diary is available at our Chapel of Adoration. The Flame of Love Movement is a Catholic Marian Movement inspired by the Blessed Virgin Mary and wishing to participate in the salvation of all humanity under the guidance of the Church. The mission of the Movement is to evangelize, particularly the families, with the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, living and spreading Her message, so that the Love of the Eternal Father and of the Sacred Heart of Jesus set all hearts on fire. Central to this devotion is Adoration. Blessed Mary requests us to insert in our rosaries the following:"Spread the effect of grace of thy Flame of Love over all humanity." Insert in each Hail Mary after "....pray for us sinners." To join Blessed Mary's Cause or to find out more about it, you may email Mary Stringfellow at [email protected]. Blessed Mary pleads to you to help her save souls. The grace you will receive is extraordinary. This Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will bring to those who cooperate extraordinary grace to "make Christ the Heart of the world." The Healing and Caring Ministry will be hosting a National Cancer Survivors Day® event scheduled on June 7, 2015. We continue to seek your assistance to make this a spectacular celebration of life after cancer. Cancer touches the lives of millions of people each year. This will be a day to honor those who are living with a history of cancer for their strength and courage. It will be a chance for those currently living with cancer to find support. This event will also offer support for the families affected by this devastating disease. We want to make this a celebration of God’s love and to share the spiritual gift of life with all those touched by cancer. This event will run from 12:30 – 4:00 PM in the Parish Activity Center. If you are interested in working with us please call Monica Filburn at 486-7886 for more information. If you would like more information on this event, please visit the official registration website at: http:// www.123contactform.com/form-893959/Flame-Of-HopeRegistration-Form to learn more.
