Psalm Response O blessed are those who fear the Lord and walk in his ways!. 2nd Reading: Colossians 3: 12-21 Paul invites us to let the gospel find a home in our hearts, as a source of new life transforming all our attitudes and relationships, especially in our family, between husbands and wives, parents and children. Gospel: Luke 2: 22-40 As pious Jews, Mary and Joseph followed the law of Moses in presenting their Child to the Lord in the temple; but in the context of today’s feast the key phrase in this passage is the simple statement that Jesus grew to maturity like any other child, in a human family. Thank you Thank you all so much for your very kind prayers, greeting cards, gifts and your very generous offering which I received in the Christmas Offering. Thanks too to all who were involved in the Christmas Liturgies whether welcoming, serving, reading, involved with the music ministry and ministering in so many other ways. Thanks also to every member of the Church for your support over the past year and for all that you do for St. Laurence’s parish. I hope that we can continue our work of preaching the gospel and service the people of God in our parish. Fr. Bob, Fr. Anthony and Deacon Geoff join me in wishing you a very Happy New Year.
