Thank you Mrs. Griffith, Mrs. Berry and PATS for a wonderful evening. We are fortunate to be able to offer the arts year-round to our kindergartners through 8th graders. This is in addition to our band, choir and drama program. On Wednesday night we hosted the area science association, CASAC, in the PAC. A great way to work with all area schools and to contribute to our community. Jill Brown, a 5th grade teacher, is the president of the organization, another example of Saint Patrick School leading the way! On Friday we had our May Crowning featuring our 2nd and 8th graders. These Catholic traditions are important touchstones for our students and they grow in their faith. Celtic Spirit Day (think field day) is Monday, 18th, a highlight of the year! Pentecost Sunday, May 23—24 Red is the color traditionally used to symbolize the Holy Spirit, and is the color of the vestments on the feasts of the Holy Cross, Martyrs, the Holy Spirit and most especially the Feast of Pentecost. We invite everyone to show their “colors” and create a congregation of red to honor the Holy Spirit and in remembrance of the tongues of fire over the apostles at the First Pentecost. Wear RED on Pentecost Sunday! Please note: The Epistle (2nd Reading) will be read in a foreign language to represent the “gift of tongues” given to the Apostles at Pentecost which lead to the spread of the Gospel in many lands. You will find the reading in English in the Breaking Bread Missalette. Young Adult Backyard Party The Young Couples Group invites all singles and couples in their 20s and 30s to join us on Sunday, May 31st from 2:00-6:00 PM for a backyard potluck at the Chaudrue House.
