The Inquirer & Responder
March 26 2015
St. Therese RCIA
Last week Sister Mary Hugh went over the council
know as Vatican II. Councils are called to answer important questions or resolve problems. We are an ever
evolving church. We are trying to achieve the best way
to follow Jesus. He was sent to show us how to have a
relationship with God, the Father.
Vatican II was an exception. It was called to open the
windows and let in fresh air. Vatican II brought the
Church into the modern world and closer to the original
way the people celebrated life with God.
We spent
a wonderful retreat last
Saturday
at The Sisters of
Mercy.
Tonight last
chance to ask
questions before the Vigil.
The Donkey
When fishes flew and forests walked and figs grew upon thorn,
Some moment when the moon was blood then surely I was born.
With monstrous head and sickening cry and ears like errant wings,
the devil’s walking parody on all four-footed things.
The tattered outlaw of the earth, of ancient crooked will; starve,
scourge, deride me, I am dumb, I keep my secret still.
Fools! For I also had my hour; one far fierce hour and sweet; there
was a shout about my ears. and palms before my feet.
G.K. Chesterton
Prayer and reflection, each
in our own way.
