Scripture, Going Deeper by Reading Better. Get a better understanding of
Scripture and how to apply it to our daily lives by increasing your knowledge of the
different types of literature contained within the Bible. Learn how to bridge the gap
between the original audience and believers today in this 8 week course designed to
give you an approach to interpreting Scripture that consistently enables you to bring it’s
wisdom to your life. Please sign up at the Welcome Centre.
Leadership Training. There will be a two day leadership training seminar on Sat.
Nov. 1st and Sat. Nov. 8th lead by Scott Stein. This seminar is for all of those currently
involved in ministry @ SCBC. The training will run from 9 – 11am. Please mark these
dates in your calendar and attend if possible

We’re glad you came to Stoney Creek today. If this is your first time here, we’d love
for you to fill out the Communication Card in this bulletin and place it either in the
contact boxes between the double doors at the back of the auditorium or in the
offering plate when it comes by later in the service.
Creekside Kids continues this Wed., from 6:30pm - 8pm!
Youth continues this Thursday at 6:30pm! Join us as we continue our "Why?"
Marla Harrison and her worship team will lead us in worship as we praise the name
of the Lord together. We trust that God will speak to our hearts and bring about
growth in our lives as we look into His word this morning. Pastor Greg Patus will
bring us the message entitled, “What is the Church to Be?”.

Chartwell/Chateau Today! Come to Pastor Mark & Yvonne’s home for
lunch and then we’ll head over for the service. Pick up is 3:05pm at Chartwell.
Trick or Eat October 31 from 5:30 -10pm. Come to Mark & Yvonne’s, then
we’ll be heading out in the neighbourhood to collect food for the London Food
Bank. We’ll then hang out afterwards together.

Operation Christmas Child. Shoeboxes are available at the Welcome Centre.
Adult Bible Class. During November, Ralph Thornton will explore the
question, "What Happened to Truth?" The class meets in the Chapel
every Sunday at 9:25am.
Lost & Found. Please check the lost & found for any lost items. These items will
find a new home after the last Sunday in October.
Condolences. Our condolences to Bruce Ayton and family as his mom, Betty
Ayton, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Oct. 19th.
Missions Reminder: Our next short term mission trip is Nov. 19 - Dec. 3. Our

team is currently preparing to travel to Chad, Africa to provide MK care, VBS and
missionary support. They will need your prayers and are still in need of some
financial support.
