POSITION DESCRIPTION Our growing business is looking for a new pattern maker to join our team. You will use your pattern making and design knowledge to create patterns for a wide range of clients and products. This newly created position has come as a result of ongoing growth of this business – an ideal role if you thrive on working with a mix of products and labels in a dynamic environment. There is also room for you to grow and learn in a fashion business that is experiencing huge growth in a time when other fashion businesses aren’t. Responsibilities for the roles include: Creating first patterns for garments on computer pattern making system. · Applying grade rules to styles · Creating specification sheets for first samples · Liaising closely with sample machinist to achieve best sample result · Create finished production specification sheets based on final approved size sets using Excel · Apply any alterations to patterns where necessary Skills and experience: · Must have minimum 3 years Patternmaking experience in computer pattern making · Strong garment construction, patternmaking, QC and basic grading knowledge. · Knowledge of Quality standards and inspection processes with excellent fitting skills and an eye for detail, · PAD systems experience preferred or similar computerized system. · Highly motivated and organised with strong verbal and written skills · Must be able to show initiative and manage time-pressured deadlines. · Proven problem solving skills and the ability to think 'outside the box' · Work as part of a team If you're ready for a change and this sounds like you, apply now and send your updated CV in word format to [email protected] Please note, only those applicants who have been shortlisted for the vacancy will be contacted in relation to their application.
